Cup or Cone?
LOCATION: YC's Resturant
The dreaded 'C' question… Cup or Cone? The argument popped up while dining at this little joint called YC's. Next to the soft serve machine stood Styrofoam cups and wafer waffle cones. With this dilemma, which would you choose? We all know my answer. Obviously I am 'pro' cone because the wafer is a VERY crucial component of the scrupulous Dipped Cone. But, let's first weigh our options before making any irrational decisions…
Option 1 Pro Cone:
The wafer waffle cone is pretty tasty; have you ever had a wafer cookie? Pretty similar. It is like having two desserts for the price of one (now that is what I call a bargain). Not only is it tasty, but the wafer cone brings a whole new texture into the game. You have the sweet, smooth ice cream in conjugation with the crunchy wafer. The excitement stems from the prolonged wait of finishing most of the ice cream before taking a bite into the cone. The best part occurs when you FINALLY take a bite filled with equal proportions of wafer and ice cream. I can taste it now…
The cone aspect to ice cream is suited for ALL ages. Rated E for Everyone. Young children find amusement in the race to finish the ice cream before it starts to melt, while elders use the purchase as a way to embrace their inner childhood. A (dipped) cone date is a way to bring the entire fam together.
And finally, (dipped) cones save the environment! There is no trash involved (aka the cup) when you finish the ice cream. You are saving the planet one 'cone' at a time.
Option 2 Pro Cup:
The Styrofoam cup only saves the ice cream purchaser from making a mess. That's it. It is does not create any excitement, it does not save the environment, and it is certainly NOT tasty. Who wants to take a bite out of yummy Styrofoam?
If the mess is all you are worried about…grab a few napkins. That will do the trick. The answer to the dreaded 'C' question is now known, go with a wafer waffle cone.
I just got dipped at YC's.
